Enemerio “Emmy” Galvan was born and raised in California. He graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California, in 2018, where he earned his Master of Fine Art in Abstract Painting. He is currently a part-time Adjunct Instructor teaching Art 101 and Drawing I at Cerro Coso Community College.

          Before embarking on his graduate studies, Enemerio was an over-the-road truck driver for Swift Transportation and concurrently, in 2015, he earned a BA in Art Education from California State University of Bakersfield (CSUB). During his undergrad studies, he volunteered as the studio assistant in the ceramics department under the guidance of Professor Joyce Kohl.

          Enemerio has diverse skills in the arts including ceramics, photography, printmaking, and bookbinding to name a few. His current project is Illusory Sense of Space, examines a metaphorical use of sacred geometry in abstract painting. The paintings are visionary indicating an altered reality that is timeless and weightless
